Community Standards

Effective 4 September 2026 · Version 2026-09-04

These standards apply to profiles, messages, groups, projects, shared records, comments, reports and Atlas submissions.

Respect people

No harassment, bullying, threats, hateful conduct, sexual exploitation, stalking, impersonation or disclosure of another person’s private information.

Protect the record

No deliberate falsehoods, fabricated provenance, dangerous access claims, spam, malware or manipulation intended to damage the archive.

Act lawfully

No content encouraging trespass, theft, vandalism, illegal excavation, harm to protected sites or species, or other unlawful activity.

Respect rights

Share only material you own, have permission to use, or may lawfully quote or reproduce. Credit sources accurately.

Reporting and blocking

Use the in-app Report function on a profile, conversation, group or through More → Report a safety concern. Blocking prevents further ordinary contact. Reports go to authorised moderators; they are not visible to the reported user.

Moderation

Moderators may review relevant evidence, contact the reporter for clarification, remove or restrict content, warn or suspend an account, or dismiss unsupported reports. Immediate danger should be reported to emergency services rather than relying on the app.

Immediate danger: call 999 in the UK. DUAUK reporting is not an emergency service.
